Transverse at 35 weeks-anyone?
Hey Ladies, I went for my appointment on Friday and because the dr didn't feel a head low, she did a quick ultrasound. The baby at the beginning of March was transverse with head on right. On Friday's appointment, still very high and transverse but the baby's head on my left side, her butt is touching my right ribs....So at my appointment in 2 weeks they are going to decide what to do; they don't believe an inversion is really an option because my stomach is so tight around the baby due to my tummy tuck 4 years ago. Guess I thought this lil mama would be head down by now. My last baby was always head down, although she was high until day of delivery, she never was breech or transverse, so this is a first for me.
So to my question....anyone had a baby go transverse to head down this late in the game? Anyone with tummy tuck ever have this issue? I am just wondering if this baby's a little bigger and just can't seem to get around in the tight belly...
Any thoughts out there? Experiences? Love to hear them.

At what week are they doing your Csection...the way the dr. was talking that it will probably be the following week after my appoint (so I would be between 37-38 weeks).... Just curious. My last pregnancy I had at 38 week, it just makes me nervous that I will go into labor before they schedule it then I will be in emergency CSection....and my last baby didn't take to long to make her appearance after I was in labor....little nerve racking....

So my ob and i were wrong, ultrasound showed she is head down--her legs are crossed funny which makes the big spot the ob and I thought was her head! I'm 36 weeks 4 days today and her weight came out to 7lbs 4ozs! I'm betting this will push my c-section to next week which would be 37 weeks 6 days--he only does scheduled c-s on Weds.
I'm not pregnant but I was just reading your post and I was wondering if your skin is too tight being pregnant after a tummy tuck. Do you find that you're more prone to stretch marks now that you've had the tummy tuck?
I'm 6 weeks post-op today & I would like to have another little one after 18 months but I'm considering getting the lower tummy tuck. I'm not sure what its called but its from my belly button & below. I just don't want to pay to improve my lower stomach only to get pregnant & have it hang again. Do you know what the chances of that happening are?
Thanks & Good Luck to you,
Hilary
Hello Hilary, To answer some of your questions...this is actually my second pregnancy after TT. My first one my stomach was tight the entire time and my baby was smaller...as they say, your fish (baby) will only grow as big as your Fish tank will allow, so that's what they contributed her small size to. She was 5 pounds 11 oz. Now with her, I carried extremely high until the day I went into labor, but she was always head down, no issues. And her small size was not an issue at all, she was very heath and a big 3 year old today. Now my stomach went back flat right after I had her; and abs and skin adjusted right back. I do look pregnant today, but no one can believe I am about 5 weeks from due date, look more like 27-30 ish weeks along... I don't think having TT before pregnancy has been a problem to getting back my flat stomach afterwards. I do think it is a reason why my stomach doesn't stretch--this little lady might just be bigger and finding any space to get into to.
As the first one, my stomach is there but I don't think it will be much to get everything back into place after I deliver, just hasn't stretch that much.
Hope this helps some...and good luck on your weight loss?
