It's been a while, update
Update on my boys!
As some of you who have been around a while might recall, we had a pretty massive health scare with my second, Aran, after he was born. A few days after birth he contracted viral meningitis and had to be in the NICU. Once the meningitis started clearing, the virus entered his heart muscle, causing his immune system to attack it, and he developed myocarditis. He was finally able to go home after 3 weeks in the NICU.
He is now 8 months old!
So far all of his cardiac checkups have been PERFECT. He remains on a heart medication which they will start weaning when he is about 1, but so far he has had no abnormal rhythms and no evidence of damage. He is kind of a little miracle. In more ways than one! At his 4 month check-up I mentioned to his pediatrician that I felt that his back was not symmetrical - one side felt "higher" than the other. We got x-rays and it turned out he had infantile ideopathic scoliosis. Apparently quite uncommon. He had a 37 degree curvature and they told us that, if it got worse, he would have to be casted. They said it could stay the same, get worse, or MAYBE get better and that there really is not anything we can do, PT won't help, chripractic won't help. We just have to wait and see. Three months later, and here is my favorite picture of my baby:
On the right, November, 37 degrees. On the left, February, 13 degrees!
Now on to the CUTE ones!

Who needs a sandbox when you can have a corn box?
Riding with big brother!
Big brother Rowan looking way to grown up in his rodeo clothes...which he steadfastly refused to wear at the actual rodeo. Ah, 3 year olds!
