6months out
I am using my own experience for this input~
1. Your WLS Dr. should be consulted and Nutritionist for help continue weight loss
2. Are you on a birth control? It is recommended to wait 1 yr -18 mo. for pregnancy to make sure your body & levels are good.
3. Do you ovulate?
4. Do you have PCOS of another syndrome that causes your body not to ovulate?
Clomid is a good medicine, BUT it has terrible side effects and does work. You need to thin you cervical muscus while on it (Robitussin), You need to use a sperm friendly lubricant (Preseed), You need daily/twice daily OPK's (Ovulation Predictor Kits)You must be working closely with your prescribing doctor (ultrasounds, blood work), You may need additional medications to keep the pregnancy once pregnancy is achieved. You need to stay open for a failure rate near 70% for the first month alone. Only 23% become pregnant on the first cycle and 5% are lost to miscarriage. However, the 6 month success rate is better~ close to 65% achieve pregnancy within 6 months with ovulating cycles...
I have PCOS, I used Clomid 50 mg. First month~ After 6 years of infertility including 2.5 years since WLS I am now pregnant!!!
I am the minority! This is my second PCOS miracle, my son is 7 going on 77~
IM me with questions~ I wish you luck once your doctor gives you the all clear. My doctors actually gave me the okay to TTC around 9-10 months out...knowing I had a long journey!
PEACE LOVE & HAPPINESS
