TTC and high TSH

Hi all,

I was hypothyroid before surgery (14 months out) and was under control for years prior to surgery.  We have a three year old and would like to start trying for our second child.  In the past few months my TSH levels have been high (8.0) and I know there is a positive correlation between infertility and high TSH levels.  I generally take my synthroid in the morning but think I will change to bedtime.  I am being monitored by my family doctor and wls clinic.

Anyone else who was hypo prior to surgery or became so after have any issues with TTC?

Thanks

C

i am hypo with hashimoto's (autoimmune) and been TTC since 2009  (pre surgery).  You want your TSH to be under 2 when actively TTC.

I just had my first IVF which failed but at least i know it wasn't due ot my thyroid. lol
