Stretch marks??
I'm just curious to know if you all developed new stretch marks with your post-wls pregnancy??
I was double my pre-pregnancy weight at my highest weight and had 2 pregnancies prior to wls--yet somehow at only 28 1/2 weeks I have developed NEW stretch marks at the top of my breasts and the top of my abodomen. I am not carrying particularily large--I don't look 7 months pregnant that's for sure. But I sure would have thought that my skin had ENOUGH stretch in it from being MO all my life to not get NEW stretch marks!!
Hello, congrats on your pregnancy and on your weightloss!! I am 36 weeks and 2 days pregnant with twins and I haven't gotten any new stretch marks but the existing ones that I had on my belly from before my gastric bypass almost 3 years ago and from my first pregnancy 9 years ago have gotten a little bit longer and more defined since my belly has really really stretched out A lot more now due to the twins. But I'm not really planning on wearing any belly showing shirts or any bikini's so I'm not worried about it, I'm just happy that I am finally pregnant after trying for so long.
I have yet to see new ones at almost 24 weeks but have been slathering myself in oils: Cocoa Butter, Vitamin E, and Argan as well as coconut oil....lol I read that this is what models use for prevention. Like you I am not showing much and had plenty of pre pregnancy stretch marks from being overweight and did not get new ones with my son 5 years ago. However, I did have a TT about 4 months prior to this pregnancy and I do notice pulling at the scar line and itching around the hip area where incision ends so was nervous about stretch marks but so far so good.
I have a few new ones, but what really is different for me this time is around my mid belly like where my bump drops off (I carry very high); it is a dark ring, almost like a brown bruise or like I put tanning cream on like a belt. I had a TT prior to my last pregnancy. Odd looking but I guess it will go away after baby.
