I can't believe it's already been 2 months! Time is flying by so quickly already.

We had our 2 month check-up on Thursday and it went really well. Izaak now weighs 9lb 6.5 oz and is 20.5 inches long. That's a weight gain of 3lb 7.5oz and growth of 1.75inches since birth :) His head circumference went from the 33rd percentile to the 56th percentile. So he's growing away and doing great developmentally as well.

He didn't like the shots, naturally, and we had a bit of a rough night with him being fussier than normal, but he's feeling better now.

Here are a few pictures of my oh-so-handsome guy!

You can give him some Tylenol before your appt that way it's in his system. My kids never really had any reactions to shots. No way nearly as painful as having him circumcised. It's legs may be tender so just be gentle when you hold him

Yes you could give him Tylenol before you go in so that it's in his system already, but I would just wait and see how he does with them the first time.

He might have some redness and pain at the injection site, his legs may also get a little swollen or have "knots" in them where they inject the immunizations. He may also get a slight fever and be fussier than normal and all of those reactions are completely normal. Your doctor should give you a handout that describes other possible reactions and when to be concerned.

I'm going to warn you now, that it's incredibly hard to see your baby get physically hurt and upset like that for the first time. Be prepared to get a little emotional. This is my second child and thought I would be okay because I've been through it before... NOPE! lol
