Wanting to eat.....all the time!!
I have been doing really good at controlling my eating...I have actually lost 12lbs since finding out I am pregnant. I am 12 wks and 4 days. But the want to eat constantly is there and I am having trouble figuring out if I am imagining my stomach growling or if I am really hungry.....HELP please I dont want to gain a bunch of weight...I am only a year out...
I didn't gain any weight the first trimester and wasn't hungry all the time then either but as the 2nd trimester started I was famished all the time, it seemed to get better around 23 weeks and has stayed that way--and the further along I have gotten I have gone back to smaller portions as well because I am uncomfortable if I eat too much! My OB isn't worried about it either and I have gained 30 lbs and am 27 weeks (I was at normal BMI when I got pregnant)
I'm sorry to tell you that feeling is just going to get worse. . lol. But as long as you are making healthy choices with the things that you eat you should be fine. I am 34 weeks and 4 days pregnant with twins and I had a gastric bypass on March 2nd 2010. I have only gained 23 pounds in this pregnancy and I eat and eat and eat all day long. Of course I eat very small amounts still thanks to the RNY and also now closer to the end with these two babies inside of me I don't really have any room at all. . .so I eat just a few bites and then am starving again in a little while! I was still considered overweight when I got pregnant.... better than being morbidly obese like I was with my daughter. My dr doesnt want me to gain anymore than 10-15 lbs tops and said it would be ok if I didnt gain any weight at all. I am only about 50 lbs overweight still. I'm just worried that if I let myself go I will eat too much and gain way more weight than needed. I know I only need to consume about 500 extra calories a day.
I make sure I only eat 1200 calories a day and Im hungry 24 7 I eat every 2 hrs When Im not eating Im drinking water or milk im 25 weeks and have gained 10 lbs was at 14lbs but I lost it I think it was jus****er and Poop lol (tmi). As long as you Eat healthy You shouldnt gain too much weight and if you do gain more than you like after you have the baby just get back to exercising and eating right! good luck and congrats on your pregnancy
