Not happy with my self.

I have gained 30 pounds so far. I am actually pleased with that. The baby's growth is right on target and is healthy. It is best to make sure you are getting enough calories in. You do need carbs.  Worry about the weight later. even my bariatric doctor when I went to see him last I was like 32 weeks and he didn't say anything about my weight gain. he told me that i will gain up to 35 pounds and that is normal.  A happy mom is a happy baby :)

Take care

I'm 26 weeks, 30 lb weight gain--my ob isn't worried about it, even though I have been--I gained no weight 1st trimester, put it all on 2nd trimester with changes in eating and horrible carb cravings--but this past month the cravings have gone and I have gone back to pretty normal pre-pregnancy eating and my weight is unchanged.  Since WLS I have never counted calories or carbs and just listened to my body and exercised so I have just resided myself to doing this with pregnancy as well and if I have to kick it into high gear after the baby is born if the weight doesn't come off by itself I will.

A simple healthy meal: Chicken chilli

Brown 2-3 boneless skinless chicken breasts sliced in a tiny bit oil--once almost browned add 2 TLBS chilli powder cook all the way thru

Add 2-16oz cans black beans (drained and rinsed) and 1 jar of your favorite salsa

Stir till heated thru--serve with shredded cheese and enjoy!! If I have cravings for tortilla chips with it I take 3 chips and crush them up on top and am satisfied!

Takes 10 minutes from beginning to end and heats up well
