Hi new to this area of the forum

I am currently 14 weeks pregnant and 6 months post RNY.

I am currently dealing with severe abdominal pain that they have no idea what is causing it.  Going for an MRI on monday and depending on what it says might be having a third surgery this time to remove my appendix.  I had a second surgery in October to remove scar tissue that was causing a potential bowel obstruction.  So havent had an easy time.

I have lost 182 pounds since my referal for surgery went in and am 30-40 pounds from goal.

I am extastic that I am pregnant but extremly stressed out in regards to the pain and now taking pain killers I have waited 10 years for this and most people don't really understand

I started having abdominal pain as well. My surgeon said it was not located in a spot that would have been related to my pouch or the surgery at all. He told me to see a gyn because he suspected it may have been related to my reproductive system. I went there and they were clueless as well. I was frustrated and still having pain. Nobody could give me an answer. It almost felt like horrible gas. I did lots of walking and squats because that can help move thc air along. I took out stock in gas x. It eventually got better. When I was pregnant my dr said your bowels slow down making gas harder to move along. I know it's not easy but try to walk and do some squats. Gas x was on a list of approved medicine to take while pregnant. I hope you feel better soon!! Also are you eating foods that are know to cause gas? Maybe keep track of what your eating and see if it corilstes to when you have the pain.

Thanks for the replies its not gas that is moving along fine.  The pain is so bad it is causing vomiting so I am not able to keep much down and defiantly not eating anything that would be causing excess gas.  Have tried gas ex so far no help.  I do lots of walking as I don't have a car so walk pretty much everywhere.

The MRI is this morning here is hoping it gives me some answers

Hope you get to feeling better soon.  I had that pain as well, however, i also had a hernia that would cause gas build up.  The worst day was when i took my older kiddos to chuckie cheese and thought i was going to pass out.  I seen my surgeon and she suggested a maternity spanx to help relief pressure it worked great and after my uterus took up that space didnt have the problem anymore.  Hope you find some answers soon.
