First normal period since surgery
I'm pretty excited. I just had my first normal period in like 15 months. I had RNY 13.5 months ago and was on Depo from 12/2011 until my second shot wore off 6/2012. I hated Depo more than anything. It turned me into more of a raging ***** than I normally am. Plus I got off of it because I wanted to start getting my body ready for a baby.
I had no period basically from surgery on 11/29/11 until October 2012. The periods I had in October, November and December 2012 were long, weird, spotty, heavy, painful... all of the above. So after having a 32 day period from November to December, I started a period again 18 days later!!! I was pissed thinking my body is acting weird again until the period was normal (for me) bleeding, normal cramps and also only lasted my pre surgery usual 5 days.
I'm pretty excited and thinking that I might be starting normal periods again, and possibly ovulating. Before surgery I wasn't ovulating, and according to my hormones I didn't have PCOS either. I did have horribly unmanaged type 2 diabetes which is now in remission and I have never been pregnant (that I know of) in my life. I'm not at goal but if I got pregnant right now I wouldn't cry. Well I might cry, but it would be tears of joy.
Anyway this whole long ass post was just express my excitement for a normal period!! LOL. Wish me luck :-)
