Clomid Survey
hiya, i thought about a website i just bought some fertile aid pills from recently... they have them for hubbies with sperm issues too... it''s called fairhaven health i think, and there are different fertile aid formulas for men and women.. the stories i read seem pretty incredible.. i already did IVF 3 times, so i'm done with that,, but, i'm on 3 different natural supplements that i figure can't hurt (my husbands swimmies seem fine, so it must be my eggies). anyway,, google them, see what you think,,, i think my mood and drive have actually improved, so hey, that's good:) sandy
I used clomid for 2 months back in 2009/2010. The first month was 50 mg and the 2nd month they bumped to 100 mg. I did not ovulate on the 2nd month and needed provera to start AF (1st time I didn't get AF on my own). After clomid I tried femara with IUI and got a much better response (still BFN though), moved to 2 rounds of follistim/iui after that (BFN). That's when I decided to have WLS and now post op we are scheduled to do IVF hopefully in February. I have a dr. appointment today to discuss bloodwork. I'm 36 and have diminished ovarian reserve apparently. Just got the bloodwork back yesterday so am discussing with RE today.
I've seen clomid work for many, and not work for many. Depends on the individual, but I would be surprised if they kept you on the same dosage each month. Are you being monitored at all during your cycle? You could ask for an ovidrel trigger shot in addition to the clomid and then you would know precisely when you were ovulating to time BD better than the OPK's.
Lots of luck to you!
I did Clomid for a total of 6 months up to the maximum dosage with ovulation occurring only once. However they tested me on day 21 and I am pretty sure I ovulate late. Anyhow, Femara is what worked for me with the HCG shot, Viagra suppositories and Avandia. I also think the fact that I had an HSG the month before helped because it cleared my tubes ....with PCOS immature eggs and cysts can cause issues. Good Luck!
