Anyone have to result to IVF?

I'm moving to South Korea Feb with my husband. I'm thinking about deciding to get IVF there. Here's my TTC adventure: I have PCOS here's my TTC journey thus far:
Cycle 1: 100mg clomid, ovidrel shot (1mature follicle)-BFN
Cycle 2- 150mg clomid- cycle canceled (NO mature follicles)
Cycle 3- 150mg clomid, then stair stepped to 200mg clomid mid cycle dose, ovidrel shot (4mature follicles)- BFN--OHSS--bed rest remaining cycle days until AF.
1 month on BC due to cysts after ovulation.
Cycle 4- 7.5mg letrolzole/femera, ovidrel shot (1 mature follicle)- I'm in my TWW now.

What's so frustrating in my whole process is I'm not over weight anymore. The whole reason for my rny was to get to healthy weight and to be able to get pregnant easier and have a healthy pregnancy.

My goal/dream has been to have a baby by age of 25. That goal is now not possible, so I changed it to at least be pregnant by my 25th birthday which is January 5!!! I'm praying this letrolzole cycle worked!

Just wanted to say good luck to you and hope you get your wish and a BFP. I have PCOS and also tried Clomid up to maximum dose for several cycles with no luck. I was resistant to it. I was also on Metformin to help with regulation of cycle but no luck-ended up switching to Avandia (which is no longer used). What did work for me was the Avandia, Femara, Viagra suppositories to thicken uterine lining, and an HCG shot. When I went in for the cycle day 21 ovulation test they said no luck however I still got no cycle and a few weeks later got a BFP so either it did work or at least set the stage for me to ovulate. I now several ladies on here have done IVF with success but hopefully you get lucky. Funny thing is after all that for baby #1 I am now pregnant with my 2nd one...took 3+ years, but w/o intervention, PCOS does some whacky things!

i'm from similar background. i've lost almost 150 pounds since my husband and i started down the path to having children. i want to have a healthy pregnancy and carry to term. i'm 36 presently and should nothing go sideways, i'll be 37 when i give birth this summer. i have PCOS as well. we didn't resort to IVF (though i was positive we were going to have to). i did have one cycle of IUI (Intrauterine insemination) after i did not get pregnant just using Clomid and then letrozole/femara for roughly seven cycles. the first attempt with IUI took. at present, the baby is developing exactly as intended and no complications thus far, so i'll keep my fingers crossed that 150 was enough to lose because i still have another 90 pounds to go unfortunately.

hi there, my husband and i did alot of stuff before IVF, then resorted to IVF,, it didn't work for us even after our 3rd time (i've lost 21embryos, never pregnant)... but i was 36, and you have younger eggs than me, so your chances are better... hope all goes well... God bless ya'll and your future family :)... :) Sandy,

After several rounds of treatment pre op, we're going through some repeat testing now to hopefully do IVF in February with unexplained IF.  We did 2 rounds of clomid/ovidrel, 1 round of femara/iui and 2 rounds of follistim/iui previously.  Dr. said with my age (I'm almost 37) and my previous treatment history that she would suggest going right to IVF.  It does suck because the whole reason for my surgery was to hopefully get pregnant and clearly it didn't work.

Would you go to IUI first instead of IVF?  Is there anything else aside from PCOS?  Good luck to you!

I'm wanting to move to Ivf and not do IUI at all. I like the statistics associated with Ivf vs IUI. Also Ivf is way affordable in South Korea.

um silly question, how is surgical procedure cheaper than basically using a syringe?  i'm floored by that. here in the US (at least where i live in the northeast) it's the difference of $400 versus $10,000 per attempt, without insurance.

IUI at my RE here in Calfornia is $900.00, IVF in California is nearly $15,000. In South Korea IUI is $300-$500, and IVF is $3,000.
