Tubal Cannulation?

I've been stalking this board for about 2 years now and have loved keeping up with everyone's stories.  I am one very rough case for doctor's when it comes to fertility.  I have a double uterus, PCOS, horrible hormone issues, endometriosis, and now a very bad blocked right fallopian tube.  I have had a couple of miscarriages due to the double uterus, and underwent about 2 years of fertility treatments just before my sleeve surgery.   I just underwent surgery to remove some endometriosis and that's when the blockage in the tube was found.  My doctor is wanting to perform a tubal cannulation just before we start trying again.  Has anyone else undergone this procedure?  Just how painful was it?  He said that he could give me an ambien about 15 minutes before the procedure begins to semi knock me out, but I'm worried this wouldn't be enough.  Any words of advice?

Hey, hope all goes well with ya ;) I have fertility issues as well, unknown why, except i do have endometriosis, and tried to bypass that by IVF.. 3 failed cycles and 21 embryos that passed away later, i'm pretty bummed. anyway, i read your post and it seems to me, that they would want to try IVF on you,,(make the embryo and put it in the "best" uterus you have so you could hopefully not have to go through a miscariage again. So if they do that, they don't need your tubes to be open and you could avoid that tubal surgery( which may scar up again later anyway)... they just go directly in your ovaries and get the eggs.. anyway, i was just wandering if this was presented to you as an option.. hope all goes well.. sandy

Sandy, your story is one that I followed and grieved about. IVF has been a definite discussion, but in order to releave the pain of having this corkscrew constantly trying to insert itself into my pelvis and I could be comfortable during a pregnancy, the procedure has to be done. Not sure how long we will try with Clomid before considering IVF, but due to the cost that you know all to well, I'm praying for our next miracle to happen with minimum intervention.
