Drinking Ensure/Boost
Any one have experience with this? Everything else I read suggest toast andcrackers but I took those items out my life post rny
Thanks
honestly when it comes to morning sickness, especially a case this bad, i would suggest eating anything you can get down. my doc often tells me to cut out carbs but when i couldn't get anything down she told me go ahead and have those crackers, the bread, basically dry bland things. because you need to eat something. your body and your baby need the calories. once things even out you can go back to eating the way you did before he nausea. but at this point its better to eat something than nothing.

off topic, but have you tried acupuncture to help with the morning sickness since the medication isn't doing much to help? ironically, it's one of the few things my insurance will cover under the acupuncture clause, morning sickness and pain management.
as for staying hydrated, if you're having severe morning sickness, i'd say anything you can keep down would be a plus :/
Also, I'm going to look into acupuncture..id like to try more natural methods first.peppermints are helping more than the zofran!
I had the 8 mg of zofran and it would help sometimes. As long as I remembered to take it about 30-40 minutes before I ate. There were times when it wouldn't help at all. I didn't have morning sickness , I had afternoon and evening sickness. I agree with some other girls. I would get down whatever you can even if it is carbs. I know we are taught to not eat them after surgery but you must get those calories in for your babys sake and your sake. The suckers from babies r us work great too.
I hopeyou find a remedy.

I don't eat refined carbs either - try this website for different types of crackers (made with almond flour instead) - she also has bread recipes that you could make for toast.......

maybe that will help and make you feel more comfortable about eating "crackers and bread"
thanks ladies!
I'm not familiar with babies r us suckers (ive never stepped foot into that place)
also, I forgot all about the cookies that use almond flour..etc. I will definitely give that a try this weekend. That's why i love this forum everyone is so helpful
One of the things that I found helpful was halls cough drops. I had the gestational diabetes so thankfully the honey lemon ones came in sugar free. I'm thinking it was the eucalyptus that was soothing but I would go thru a bag a day and they are considered safe for pregnancy. I hope you get relief soon, the suppositories should help because even with the heaving it's getting into your system for relief. My daughter has migraines and can't keep anything down so we do the suppositories and it works wonders.
