35 weeks and food poisoning
ugh yesterday was awful. i never get sick. but i got some kind of bug or something from something i ate. It was awful. I woke up with horrible stomach cramps that felt like shooting gas pain but couldn't pass any gas. felt like after surgery. then i had diarrhea and was peeing a lot. then came the big wammy. a fever. ugh terrible. it got up to 100.5. i was scared i'd have to go to the hospital. thank GOD for tylenol. its the only thing that helped. i've been cleared to take tylenol since my first trimester but i refused to take it. i haven't taken anything all pregnancy but this time i really needed it. and it worked. let me tell you, feeling that ****ty was bad enough but adding a huge baby belly on top of that and him moving around (felt like he was moving furniture in there) i was so miserable and uncomfortable. it doesn't help that my breasts are now built in heaters. and my body pillow is now an insulator of heat. sheesh.
a week ago i was sad bc i didn't want this pregnancy to end and i wanted to keep my baby inside me. but after last night..oof. lol. i feel like i have a 10lb bowling ball inside of me. i used to be so comfy on my back with my body pillow cradling me all around. but now, pfft. and sleeping on my side is no picnic either.
anyway just wanted to share. i hope none of you guys have to go through that. i was very lucky i didn't have to go to the hospital and get on an IV. today my temp is still a tad high but i feel tons better. almost back to normal.
so at what point should i start to worry?
the reason i ask is bc today everything seemed better. but i find my temp starting to rise a bit again. i don't know if its a pregnancy thing. my torso is so hot and my boobs are like heaters. but my legs and feet are cold. not sure if the sick part is lingering or if this is a pregnancy thing or what. but either way i would like to know at what point i should worry.
Drink lots of water, take the Tylenol, don't over dress and maybe a cool shower. I'm not sure on this but I believe that when were pregnant our body temps are slightly higher. If your still worried can you call an after hours number? at this point if I were you I would not be worried. The most important thing is to stay hydrated
