Bam!!
Alrighty...
lets start with some backstory
Daughter is 9 years old, first pregnancy.. pregnant at a healthy weight
6 miscarriages(MC) between 2003 and 2010, last MC was the June of 2010... overweight with all of these pregnancies.
Gastric Sleeve was done November of 2010
made it to goal (136) in 9 months.. then continued down to where I sit now at (111) by time I was 15 months out
for the first year after surgery I did not have a period, once it came back I began charting it.
I have always gotten pregnant the first month I have tried, and this time is no different, positive pregnancy test today.. I know that I am only like 4 weeks along..
My hope is that after my body reset with the period after not having one for a year then I will be good to go this time.
My breasts are super tender and already seem to have swelled up a little, not too much else weird going on, besides eating some salsa, which I have made my husband for years and never tried because I dislike salsa, I sat myself down with a bowl the other day...
anyways is it hard to sustain a baby properly with the limited intake?
has anyone else had the same history as I have had then a successful pregnancy after WLS..
I feel REAL optimistic about this pregnancy.. almost like I know everything is going to be fine.. the past ones (besides my first) I immediately was in fear of MC.
First, congratulations! I don't have any experience with the miscarriages (thank, God) so I can't speak to that aspect at all, but I have had a post sleeve baby (he will be 1 saturday). I had no issues with limited intake affecting my pregnancy I was able to get plenty protein and fluids, and had no problem eating sufficient calories. Good luck, I hope this one goes well! I'm sure your relaxed, positive attitude can only help!
Congrats on your new little blessing! I'll be two years post VSG on Dec 6th and I'm 27 weeks preggers. Honestly I'm not sure what you mean by "limited intake." Of course I can't eat same amt as pre-op but at nearly 2 years out, I have zero problems getting in 80+ proteins and 100 carbs (yep, that's what they say we need when preggers) daily. This board is not very active so if you want to chat just send me a message. This is my 7th pregnancy so I've been down this road a time or two! Best of luck to you, lady.
