don't you hate that? some of you are lucky enough to gain weight in your midsection, lower body, thighs, etc and yet still keep that illusion of not being fat from the neck up. you lucky so and so's! lol. unfortunately i wasn't built that way. even after my 90lbs weight loss i had a permanent double chin. i guess my body is meant to be a lot skinnier. so now even though i've gained 30lbs so far my body has gained pretty evenly so you really can't tell too much. my stomach doesn't stick out THAT much. i don't look 8 months pregnant. maybe 6-7 months. but my face keeps getting fatter and fatter. and i still have a month to go!! yikes!

like, i don't mind gaining in my body. i know i'll lose it. plus, i have  a baby in there. the one thing that gets me is seeing my face in the mirror and seeing the old me creeping up. ugh. i had fat face for years. it wasn't till i lost weight that i saw what i really looked like. and realized how pretty i actually am. but i see the old me creeping up. its disturbing. i know there's nothing i can do. just deal with it. i'm just not happy about it. meanwhile, the weather is finally starting to cool off. so i'm happy to go outside and go on walks finally.

Fat face will go away with baby, too! Most pregnant women get a case of fat face. I'm one of the lucky ones, I guess, but I'm still more than 20 pounds under pre-pregnancy weight.

you're lucky! but i am 2 yrs out of surgery so you're in a better spot than me ;) BUT i've always gained weight in my face. it sucks. i am like 50lbs less than my pre pregnancy weight thank god. and hopefully i'll lose at least some of it with baby. :)

The "fat face" could be water retention anyway. I haven't been pregnant but have known many to plump up in the face due mostly to water retention during pregnancy!

thats true. its very common for women who are in late pregnancy to plump up in the face. i'm just not fond of it happening to me!  lol ;)

I know how you feel. I had fat face bad while pregnant and was terrified it wouldn't go away. I also had pre-eclampsia so that might of had something to do with it. I did, however, lose 90 lbs since she was born about 3 1/2 wks ago so I'm guessing most of my weight was water. Keep your head up, it will come off!

HI there:

I understand what you are saying.

I had to lose quite a bit for it to be noticed in my face.

You will do just fine, you are aware and have done well so far.

I get the weight everywhere, and got it everywhere even in my face.

Once the baby is born, you will drop much of the weight, and your face will reduce.

Hang in there.  I am sure you a glowing mom to be.
