Paleo Lifestyle-Morning (or should I say afternoon sickness)-suggestions anyone?
So prior to my preggo number 2, I began the Paleo lifestyle...this cuts out the wheat and the bad things from my daily eating. I truely believe that is why this go around, we were off birth control for a month, no fertility drugs, etc, and we got pregnant so fast.
Here is my questions/problem. I am having a really hard time with afternoon sickness. Most evenings I can't keep dinner down. I have no idea what magically happens in the evening, but this baby isn't fond of it. This is causing me to have trouble keeping away from the crackers, pretezels, etc. And even at dinner, I have been throwing in some rice/potatoes. Has anyone else out there been able to find a subsititue for these bland foods that is paleo? Most things I have read on the internet say that you can typically get back on paleo in 2nd trimester, but I hate the feeling of all this wheat in my body, etc. I would love to not eat these things, but I guess if I only have two more weeks, and it will go away, perhaps I can make it.
Anyway, would love to hear anyone who has found Paleo foods that they can get down, and/or anyone who had same trouble tell me about their experience.
Thanks, Stacey

Hi - not pregnant yet (but hoping) - anyway I eat alot of paleo - no flour etc. Check out Elana's Pantry - she has WONDERFUL recipes - things like crackers made with Almond Flour (which is just almonds - get Honeyville brand online it performs much better in recipes than Bob's red mill)........
anyway - hope that helps!

Thanks Melissa, I will check her out. I use alot of almond flour, but hadn't thought of where I might be able to substitute more, like muffins, etc. I will tell you, if you are trying, I stand by 100% Paleo is a HUGE reason I had no fertility problems this go around. I hope the best for you! Stacey

Yeah - I am hoping this new lifestyle will aid us as well - we had been trying prior to surgery for 6 years.......anyway hope some of her stuff helps - I just made the paleo banana bread (added dark choc chips for a treat) and it was wonderful!!! My whole family loves it - also have had some of the crackers and they were delicious!
I have both of her cookbooks (although they are not all "paleo" recipes they are all almond flour, coconut flour etc.) I use her cookbooks and website recipes ALOT!!!! I don't feel like I am missing out at all!!
Good luck to you - hope you feel better soon - feel free to contact me if you wanna talk recipes or anything!!!
