Very unexpected surprise
Well I will tell you I was only 2 months post op when I found out I was pregnant. I gave birth to my daughter on October 8, 2012 at 39 weeks 6 days and only because I had to be induced due to low fluid (which had nothing to do with my WLS), otherwise I'm pretty sure she had plans to stay in way longer! I had a very easy pregnancy, never had any of the horrible pregnancy side effects and I never once had Braxton Hicks. I labored for 8 hours and pushed 3 times and she was out! I think because I lost so much weight (and the bulk of it while being pregnant) I was much healthier and made it so much easier on me being pregnant that I didn't have a hard time with any of it. I don't think you should worry, I really don't think being 8 months post op will make it so your baby can't go full term.
