My husband and I have been trying for 6 years to have a baby. I had RNY on 2/20/2012 and we just found out two days ago we are expecting. Please reassure me that being 8 months post op won't ruin my chances of bringing a full term baby into this world. Ugh. I hate worrying. Anyone care to share their diet plan with me until I can get in with the dietician? Thanks

I was 5.5 months post op when I got pregnant and will be 34 weeks tomorrow with a healthy baby boy. I have had absolutely zero complications and this pregnancy has been much healthier than my first pregnancy which was pre-op.

Take your vits religiously if you don't already, add healthy carbs back into your diet if you've been avoiding them, keep up your protein and get your water! It's not always easy, but baby will take what he/she needs from you for the most part.

Good luck and best wishes for a happy, healthy 9 months.

Double congrats!! One for the baby and one for the RNY!!! I don't really have any advice to give you besides just make sure you take all your vitamins every single day and also make sure you take in as much protein as you can. I wish you the best of luck
