 Hi all,

im post RNY 3 years next month. I've lost and maintained 100lbs. However have gone up and down about 28 since my lowest weight of 180. (Currently 200). I'm trying my best to get back on track and wa shuts wondering what type of ore natal vitamins I should be taking and how much?  How do we know our body is getting the proper dose?
Any insight would be appreciated!!

well i had VSG not RNY so i'm not sure if its any diff. but i replaced my multi vitamin with a prenatal like 5 months before i actually got pregnant. i just used one from the store but my reproductive endocrinologist put me on Women's One A Day Prenatal bc it has DHA. so thats what i've been taking for about a year now. It comes with 2 pills and you take both pills once a day. you don't need to take more than one prenatal a day. a prenatal has as much, more actually, than your multivitamin.  i would continue taking the rest of your pills normally. just switch the multi with the prenatal.

but if you have any questions as your surgeon and OB. best way to find out if you're not getting the right amount is to get your blood drawn to check your levels.

I am pregnant (12 weeks) and post RNY.  I take bariatric advantage multi vits 2xday, iron 1 a day, b12 1 aday and 3 calcium a day.  My OB, surgeon, and PCP say this is all I need.  But they are following my labs closely to make sure there are no changes, I just had them done and will have them done again in a few months.
