Hey! I'm new to the boards and wanted to introduce myself. I'm currently 1 year 9 months post op from RNY gastric bypass and i'm 15 weeks pregnant! A big part of my decison to have wls was that my husband and i had been ttc for over 2 years and had one miscarriage during that time. As soon as my surgeon gave me the go ahead (18 months post op) we began trying and, i can't believe i'm saying this, got pregnant on our first try! Everything is going great with my pregnancy and the baby. I have my gender ultrasound in a month and have been hearing baby's heartbeat with a doppler (such an amazing and beautiful sound!). I am currently taking a prenatal multivitamin, 3mg folic acid, calcium, integra iron capsules, and a once monthly b12 injection.  My doctor is a regular ob/gyn and she has had a few patients that were post wls and had no complications from them. i'm sure i will have lots of questions as my pregnancy progresses as there is little information available about pregnancy post wls.

Congratulations! That's awesome. I'm about the same post-op as you (had RNY in Jan 2011) and I'm 37 weeks already...yeah, that wasn't technically planned but it's worked out. It's super exciting, isn't it? Hope all goes well for you!
