Five embryos!
So out of my 11 eggies 5 turned into embryos ( maybry another one too, but it was being a slow poke). Tomorro me and hubby go for our transfer and then we should know more ( embryo cells, grade, etc. ) it's hard not to be excited, but I've been excited then disappointed so many times, but still, I will bless the name of The Lord always, the Giver of life. Hopefully I will get to be a mommy this time! And I know Van (my husband) is gonna be a great dad! It was funny, we had taken a picture with eggs, chicken eggs , he he he to symbolize the retrieval. Then I drew little faces on 5 of them and he cradled the carton in his arms tonight for a photo :). Yep, we're hopeful goofballs! They will probably put in two tomorro then hopefully we will have some healthy snowflake babies for the future too. Here's to another two week wait:)
Thats so exciting!!!! I have a questin because I'm an idiot when it comes to this stuff. Would your chances increase of having them take if they put all 5 and not just 2 in? Or does the number that they implant not affect the outcome? Again this is just me asking because I dont know. Again congrats!!
Thanks all! Embryo transfer was this morning. There were still five total. My history seems to be slow poke cell changes on the embryos ( I've lost 15 embryos so far in the past) . Today it seems like there was one on target ( at 5 am it was 6 cells then by about 8am it had divided to 7 cells) so that's a nice active one, from what I remember there was a 7 cell, three 4 cells, and one 2 cell. There is a higher chance of pregnancy when all are put in the same time, but there is also the chance of way high multiples, which is a risk to both mom and babies ( I'm a NICU nurse, and I'd like to have healthy babies, and do not believe in selective reduction). Sooo, with all that being said, they like to see 7 to 8 cell embryos and I only had one, so with my track history, they did put in 3 embryos when they only usually do 2 . They put the 7 and two 4's in. The last 4 and the 2 cell they are letting grow in an incubater and hopefully they will keep growing and we can freeze and use on a frozen cycle. I got to see all three on a tv screen and they were all beautiful! And I'm sure the other two are as we'll :) so now I'm the incubater and on bed rest today ( ha couch rest really) :) here's hoping! I thank Gocd for each one!
