Just found out a week ago Im pregnant

I Had Rny On Feb 21st 2012. and I just found out I'm Pregnant.. I was having some spotting so I went and got My Hcg levels check and An ultra sound It was too early to be seen on the ultrasound and my Hcg levels day one were 226 and day 3 were 406 They didnt exactly double Im Freaking out is this a bad thing? I found out I was Pregnant about 8 days past ovulation which is very soon So Im wondering if thats why My levels were rising as quick.. Anyways Im super scared I go back to the drs on Thursday for another u/s hopfully Everything is fine. Can Anyone tell me how many calories I should be eating And if your pregnant how much weight have you gained and Is your Baby Growing Properly Im scared My baby will not get the nutrition it needs from me I only eat about 500 to 600 calories a day and I hike 2 miles everyday Is it okay to keep working out? Any help would be appreitiated!
Congrats on your pregnancy! The hcG levels sound good to me. Everyone's numbers are different and they're really close to double what they were day 1. It could very well be contributed to how early you are. Good luck on Thursday.
As for your calories, you're definitely going to have to eat more than 500-600 a day! A good rule of thumb is to eat something every 2 hours whether you're hungry or not. Continue to make healthy choices, but you will need to get more healthy fats and carbs than you probably are now. Baby needs those! As for exercising, it's really up to you, but I can tell you that I stopped exercising aside from the casual walking around the grocery store, house cleaning, etc that I do every day. I had to start working so hard to get in enough nutrition for me and baby that it just didn't make sense to burn those calories off! Especially considering that you're at least close to a healthy weight and getting in so few calories as it is, I would cut the exercise down at the very least. Maybe just do 1 mile or .5 miles a day.

Thank you Verymuch! I Have definatly uped My Calories and I cut back the walking to every other day.. Sad thing is I gained a 1lb already Its gonna be hard to watch the scale go up..But as long As My Child is healthy and growing right thats all I care about. Ill let you know how the u/s goes thurs hopfully The baby is able to be seen so I can relax a little!

I also had RNY in Feb and just found out I am pg. I see the doctor on Friday. We have had previous miscarriages, so I am not getting excited yet, but hoping because I lost the weight it will help. Worried about getting pg so soon from surgery, just wanting the baby to be healthy, but not to gain too much weight!

I have been spotting on and off for the past week some days its worse than others Ive been to the e.r 3 times only for them to tell me im fine and cervix is closed and that they dont see any blood when they check?? WTH.. Its so stressful and Another thing thats weird is my Hcg is doubleing every 24 hrs maybe even less.. I wonder if Its twins?? I got my positive pregnancy test 8 days past ovulation which is pretty early.. I find my self more tired with this pregnancy than the other 2 .. Im so worried I hope Im not having a m.c Its hard to not stress over it.. Do you know when your due? And Im super worried about weight gain too but Ive been losing so far Im 5 weeks and 2 days along Im due May 21st 2013..I hope everything works out for you! Nick Colvin
Im having twins and spotted 6-8 weeks. I found out way early too- around week 5.
I havent gained any wieght, but I force my self to eat way past what Im comfortable (500 calories). Ive lost 35 pounds since being pregnant. My DR is not worried as long as babies are growing. Dont stress over that wieght girlie!
