A little late, but good news!
I have normal glucose tolerance! :)
I had my revised glucose tolerance test a little more than a week ago and found out last Monday that my results were normal!!! This is so exciting because I was borderline diabetic during my first pregnancy and feared I would face the same fate this time around regardless of my weight loss and surgery.
For any of you who are wondering, my GTT went like this - I had my initial draw NOT FASTING, ate a candy bar (29g of sugar compared to the 50g in the drink) and had my blood drawn an hour later as well. My doc looked both at my immediate reaction to sugar and at my A1C. So glad we came up with a different plan! the 29g of sugar was enough to make me feel like crap - pretty sure the drink would have had me wishing for death! LOL

lucky!! at first i gave the task to my mom but she totally dropped the ball. so i hired a planner but she was going through some stuff and was ALSO dropping the ball. i was like eff that i'm not paying for that. so my best friend wanted to take over but she's not even gonna be here for the shower. i pretty much gave up. luckily the shower will be at my parents' friends' house and they have tables and chairs. so i saved a lot of money and effort there. but the rest i've had to do myself. that combined with the fact that i just moved into a new place we keep having problems with things and the landlord is a dick. and its all been very stressful. i'm looking fwd to it but i kind of want to get it over with so i can just relax. and to make matters worse i've looked on my registry and only 4 items have been purchased. i feel like i'm gonna have to buy everything myself. between the shower and buying stuff for this house we're so tapped out.
stressful to say the least.

I know how you feel about the registry. There are only 2 items purchased from my registry and those are items that I've purchased already (car seat and swing)! You'll still get useful items, though. With my first pregnancy seriously NO ONE bought anything from my registry, but I still could use all of what I did get.
Hopefully your shower comes together with no issues! I can't imagine how frustrated you've been with people dropping the ball on such an important project!
