Be honest: How long after WLS did you wait?
We have been trying for three years and like you I had the surgery for this very same reason. I was referred by my OBGYN.
I took precautions and did everything I was suppose to do. THEN they told my husband that the infertility was on his part because he had a vericoele. (varicose vein blocking his boys) Two days later we found out we were pregnant. Since he was going through that process we did give it another thought and finally got pregnant. And really at this point in time with everything going on in our lives....it was not in our plan. But it all happens for a reason.
As far as you being one month out. I WILL say that this pregnancy has been the most stress filled pregnancy BECAUSE of the concerns that I have regarding surgery. I have lost a majority of the weight I wanted to lose. I am 5 almost 6 months out. It's hard, girl...I'm telling you. Constipation is worse....You already have an aversion to food because of your surgery....and morning sickness doubles that.
I'm not the model WLS patient either. I eat more veggies than protein. My hair is falling out like crazy. I....too be honest hardly eat anything during the day because my body doesnt want it....or Im so busy with work that I forget to eat because my body no longer has it in me to tell me to eat.
It's difficult at my stage....so I know it would be difficult at 1 month. Don't take pressures from family members...LISTEN TO YOUR BODY!
Best wishes!
