27 week update (pic)
I can't believe I've already made it to 27 weeks!!! Yikes! It's going by so fast! :)
School is in full swing. I'm getting into all of my classes and all seem like they'll be pretty "easy" this semester which is exactly what I need. I'm back to battling with the pregnancy exhaustion again. It revisited around 24.5 weeks and hasn't let up since. I've resigned myself to this being the way it'll be until after Izaak is here and on a regular sleeping schedule (and who knows when that'll be).
My baby boy is still super active, which I love most of the time, but some of his jabs and kicks are starting to hurt a little! LOL A small price to pay, I suppose, for a constant reminder that he's doing well in there. My weight climbed steadily for 5 weeks in a row, but I'm back to losing this week, so I'm most definitely going to be speaking to my doctor about having a growth ultrasound done (hopefully soon) to check on baby boy's size. Hopefully he's growing like he should. My next checkup is on Thursday and I'll be doing my revised GTT then. I will go in and have my blood drawn downstairs before my appointment, eat something right afterward (I don't have to be fasting for the initial blood draw), and then have my blood drawn again an hour later. My doc will be looking both at my sugars in reaction to eating something and my A1C. I'm certain the drink will make me incredibly sick, so I'm not even going to go there.
My belly is really starting to pop now. I'm still doubtful that I'll have a perfectly round pregnant belly even at the end of these 40 weeks, but I do look more and more pregnant every week which makes me happy. And who knows. I might get pretty darn close to that "perfect" belly. Here's this weeks' pic:

i love it! so round! i see your filling out nicely :) very nice. i know exactly what you mean about the kicks hurting a little. sometimes i'll get a jab like woah! ouch. but they're so fast and its still kind of cute. i can't imagine at 9 months what those kicks will feel like. if my son's feet are anything like my husband's feet i'm in trouble. lol.
:) Thanks, Meli! My belly is definitely rounding out on the top! Exactly with the kicks. I've been getting some lately that make me verbally say "whoa" or "ow" lol I'm having a hard time imagining how it's going to feel when he has less and less room to wiggle around in there, too!
How are you doing?
How are you doing?
i'm doing good. i'm rounding out but just at the top. still everytime i look at myself without clothes on i'm like..pppftt. i just look like a puffier version of myself. maybe because my boobs get bigger to even everything out. i only really look pregnant when i wear something that tucks under my boobs. but you're looking so round! i love it! can't wait to get there! :)
i feel him moving a lot more. like instead of just random kicks i feel all sorts of little movements all over like he's flipping around in there. lol. its so cute. but sometimes, oof! and the bladder kicks. oof. lol.
now i'm prepping for my baby shower in a couple of weeks! when is your shower?

My baby shower is two weeks from Saturday (Sept. 22!) I can't wait! I already know it's going to be a lot of fun :)
I look most preggo, too, when I wear something that cinches under my boobs, too. Hence the hand holding my shirt back there lol. You'll get there, though.
My agenda for the rest of my pregnancy is cram-packed it seems. Shower in 2 weeks, DD's birthday party 2 weeks from then, Halloween 3 weeks later, Thanksgiving 3 weeks after that and then my EDD is a mere week and 1/2 from then! EEK! :)

omg my shower is on the same day!!!! how cool is that?!!! haha thats so cool!!! and you're due a week before me. i wonder how close together our due dates will actually be. ha! yeah its gonna be so busy. shower, i still have to find a pediatrician (have been putting it off bc of the move and the baby shower), then paint and decorate the babies room, then do maternity shoot, plus all the holidays. its gonna be fun and exciting. but jam packed. :)
It's only fitting since we found out the gender of our babies on the same day that we have our showers the same day. Might as well have our babies on the same day, too! LOL But if we're going to do that, I'd rather you go a little early than me go late ;)
I'm glad I don't have to search for a pediatrician. The doctor that takes care of me is actually a family practitioner, so he takes care of everyone from newborns to pregnant women to older folks, too. I love him! He was my doc during my first pregnancy, he's my daughter's doc and he'll be this little guys doctor, too. :) Good luck finding a pediatrician, though! I know it can be tough!
I've been debating on whether or not I want to do a maternity shoot. Not even sure we'd have the money to do it, even.

i wouldn't mind going early either. if i go late its gonna dip into christmas!
oh thats so great! its nice to find someone like that. well my birthing center was about 30-40 min away by highway but now that we moved its a cool hour at least. which is a pain in the butt but so far i'm only going once a month so not too bad. and plus its worth it to me to have the waterbirth i want. but i went to a vaccine seminar and they gave us a list of pediatricians who are leniant on vaccines (aka they don't pressure you to get them all, they leave it to your disgression) and one of them happens to be like 5 min from my new house! i looked up reviews on this guy and people love him. they call him the spiderman doctor because his office is decorated all over with spiderman. thats so cute. and how perfect for a little boy :) when he gets old enough to appreciate it he'll have nice memories of going to the doctor. i haven't met with him yet but he's top on my list so far.
