Vitamins?
Very confused about what vitamins I should be taking during pregnancy? I take all of my regular vitamins, I'm just wondering if I take a prenatal as well? If so, are there any chewable ones available? I'm 20 months post op, this would hopefully be baby number 5, but the first one post op. Thanks for your responses!
Hi and congrats on your surgery and your baby :0 ) I have seen chewable pre-natal vitamins in a lot of stores. . .I just actually saw some in Target last night when I went to buy my Iron. I am a freak about taking my vitamins and I try to never forget them. Here is my routine.. . .I am 2 years post op from RNY and I am 3 months pregnant with twins. So first thing in the morning before breakfast I take my Iron (ferretts Iron) and a folic acid with a glass of orange juice. After lunch. . usually around 2 or 2:30pm I take my big dosage. .. 1 Pre-Natal, 1- Calcium, 1- D3, 1- B12, and 1- Folic Acid. Then after dinner and dessert. . .lol I take another Folic Acid and sometimes I'll take my regular Multi-vitamin for women. My OB says that this is perfect and that I should keep doing it but I want to go have blood work done by my regular doctor just to make sure that everything is ok. I haven't had any blood work done in over a year so I don't know how my levels are right now and thats really what is the most important and that is what will determine how many and what vitamins you need to take.
So good luck to you and I hope my routine helps you a little Keep us posted on everything!!
