New to this board.
Hi everyone!
I would just like to introduce myself. I am a 3-year post-op RNY. My husband and I just found out that we are pregnant with our first child. It is truly a miracle as I was told pre-op that my PCOS was so bad it was very unlikely that we would ever conceive.
While we are overjoyed, I am also scared to death. I have WLS friends and I have friends with kids, but I have no one who has experienced a pregnancy post WLS. So, as I did when I was a newbie, I'm coming back to the boards for support. I am sure that I will have tons of questions over the next 9 months. I would love to hear any pointers or suggestions you gals would have!
Thanks in advance for all of your help and support. I'm really looking forward to getting to know you all.

HI and welcome Kara, Congratulations on your surgery and weight loss and on your pregnancy. I too am new to being pregnant post op. I am 3 months pregnant with twins and I am 2 years post op RNY. I am worried about getting enough nutrition for my 2 babies so I go crazy taking vitamins all day long, also I try to eat as much as I can and a lot of fruit and veggies. I really am literally eating all day long.. . .lol. Another thing I am worried about is losing the baby weight afterwards. . .after all the hard work that we have gone through to lose the weight and MAINTAIN the weight loss I hope that we will be able to get it off easy. From what I hear there is a lot of post op's who do lose it easily so I hope we fall in that category Good luck to you with everything. . .and keep us posted!!
Welcome hun, all I have to say is enjoy your ride, its an awsome experience. I am 2babies down and pregnant with a 3rd. I had no serious complications, and babies are strong and healthy. Eat the same way you ate to maintain your weight, just increase the frequency. keep up the water vitamins, protien etc. You will be just fine CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
