Eight months post op and Pregnant
Well I am not new to OH, but I am to this forum. I just found out last week that I was pregnant, boy was I excited I have two daughters 15 and 12 from another relationship and my husband and I suffered a MC in October 2008...I am 31 years old and almost 7 weeks pregnant, my projected due date is April 7th, 2013. I have my fingers crossed because of my previous MC. I have already seen my surgeon and he was a little suprised but said I have done so well that he believes I will be just fine. So me and the nutrionist in his office set up a meal plan and I will going to see her during my pregnancy. My first GYN appointment is next Thursday...I just want this baby to be healthy, since my husband has no biological children of his own losing another baby would really hurt.
Well I just wanted to introduce myself :)

Welcome and congratulations! Fingers crossed for a sticky baby this time! :)
Sounds like you've got all your ducks in a row and have already started your prenatal care, which is great!
No worries about being so soon post-op. Many of us have been or are there now. I was only 5.5 months post op from my RNY when I found out about this little blessing and so far everything is progressing very normally. I've been concerned about baby's growth because I still lost weight somewhat rapidly for the first half of the pregnancy, but I'm now starting to gain back some of what I lost in the first half and my baby boy has been measuring right on target the whole time.
Best of luck to you!

Even for women who've not been through the trauma of a miscarriage, it's hard not to worry that something will go wrong. I've read most miscarriages happen because the embryo has not developed properly and it's pretty rare to have multiple miscarriages. Make sure you stay up on your vitamins because low vitamin levels can cause you to miscarry and try to relax as much as you can. :)
congrats! i was 9 month post op when i got preggo, then got preggo again! LOL welcome to the group!
