Did anyone have hyperemesis while pregnant in the 1st trimester or just had a hard time with morning sickness???

I am only 10 weeks, and havent even been to work due to extreme morning sickness, barely eating or drinking anything and back and forth to hospital for fluids.....

I dont want to complain, but please tell me this gets better and I will be able to eat again soon

My niece had hyperemesis and Zofran helped a lot.  Have you asked your OB for a prescription?

I had it my whole pregnancy.  I ended up on a zofran pump and several other medications.  Talk to your doctor before it gets any worse.  I had lost 30lbs before I was put on thee zofran pump.

There are definitely options for hyperemesis patients.  I personally think the best way to go is with home infusion for hydration and a zofran pump, we see patients on this all the time at my company.  Definitely talk to your MD sooner than later!

I am on Zofran 8mg every 6 hours and phenergan 25mg suppositories every 6 hours as well.It seems that they really dont take me all that serious. My ketones have been +4. All they do is send me to the hospital for 2L of fluid and IV meds, but it is an extreme cycle. After 3-5 days I am right back in the situation I was in- another epioside and back in the ER.....
