Shaelyn Update Aug 6th

Hi,   Just wanted you all to know that Shaelyn will be having surgery tomorrow. The surgery she is having is called PA Banding, this is where they put bands on her pulmonary artery branches to restrict the blood flow to her lungs and allow more blood to go to her body enabling her to come off the ventilator. To lessen the confusion, yes she will still need a new heart (and yes she is on the waiting list), this is just a tempory fix while we wait for one and so that she can lead a more normal life during the wait. Hopefully soon we will be able to hold and cuddle her and play.... :D Will update tomorrow evening after her surgery. Please continue to pray for our little trooper, she is such a strong and brave little baby and has endured so much already. I've been checking everyday for an update and have kept you and yours in my prayers. I hope all goes well with surgery and you get to snuggle your little one soon!

You guys have constantly been in my thoughts and prayers. Stay strong Shaelyn! You have quite a few fans rooting and praying for you.

Praying that the surgery goes well and is successful to make Shaelyn's life as healthy as possible before her heart transplant is available.

You're in all of our thoughts and prayers!!  Yeah for being able to cuddle her soon!  Good luck tomorrow, make sure you're taking care of yourself too!  I know sleeping and meals are probably the last things on your mind, but make sure you're keeping yourself strong so that you are better able to handle all of the extra stress!
