Any 40 something women get PG after WLS?

I am 4 months post VSG and desperately want a sibling for my son.  I had him at 40 and now I am 44 and know I am on borrowed fertility time!  I have lost 90 lbs so far and have a ways to go but am hoping to get pg before the year is out.

So just wondering if there are any "older" moms to be here?  I'd love to hear your story!

Hi Tana,

I got pregnant with baby #2 about 4 1/2 months after my Gastric Bypass. To say that I was shocked is an understatement as my son had just turned 21 and I was 38. I turned 39 half way through my pregnancy and am loving life with my now 11 month old and 22 year old.

Feeling very blessed with our family we had initially thought that we were done, but not long after Marlianna was born I got the itch to try for one more...........I just got a BFP 2 weeks ago! So, at 40 I'm expecting baby #3!

With babies just under 19 months apart it is going to be a challenge, but one that we welcome readily. Our son will be 23 years old before his youngest sibling is born. We are tired but very happy!

HI!   I just had my 3rd baby on 22. March and turned 42 April 28th.  First 2 babies were before weight loss, this one was after 150 pounds lost with RNY.  The pregnancy in comparison (last pregnancy was 5 years prior)  was a cake walk!  Delivery turned out to be a dream... had a successful VBAC, and baby is wonderful and healthy!!

GOod luck to you trying to get pregnant and best wishes for a healthy pregnancy!!
