Pictures!
Finally have a moment to upload some pictures. Aran is still in the NICU but we are seeing some improvements. They've found a medicine to slow down his heart rate and so far all of his tests show that he doesn't have any damage to his heart. We'll likely still be in the hospital for a couple more weeks, and then they should be able to start managing him out-patient. It may take 6 months to a year for the myocarditis to fully resolve though.

he is so incredibly beautiful! what a stud already and he's just born! and all that gorgeous blonde hair!! i think i'm in love! :) its so heartbreaking to see a little baby hooked up to all those things though. poor sweet angel. i hope everything resolves itself as quickly as possible and you're able to take him home. he looks like a strong little guy. :)
Thankfully he's hooked up to a lot less stuff now. For a while he had 2 IV's (one in each arm), a picc line in his leg, a nasal cannula for oxygen, a blood pressure cuff, a pulse oximeter, and 5 cardiac monitoring leads. Now he's down to the picc line, the 5 leads, and a blood pressure cuff. He even gets to wear clothes today!

I hope he gets feeling better soon so mommy can sleep and actually breathe a sigh of relief. There is nothing worse than a sick baby. 
Right now mommy is sleeping most nights at the NICU in a recliner. Daddy takes some night shifts as well, but even when I sleep at home I have to get up and pump several times, so it's not like I get s great deal more rest.
