Time flies!

I can't believe that tomorrow I'll be 20 weeks pregnant! Already 1/2 way done... it just doesn't seem real. Then Wednesday I'll be exactly 9 months post-op. That's crazy, too. Doesn't seem that long since I had my surgery.

I'm doing well, though, and my baby boy is doing great, too. :) He kicks soooo much! I love how active he is! I don't remember my daughter moving this much when I was pregnant with her. He's especially active when I'm laying down, so at night I almost hate falling asleep because I just want to lay there and feel him move and bond. I know I have plenty of time to enjoy the movements, but still. :)

Hope everyone else is doing well, too.

I hear you on that! Time definitely flies, I'm 26 weeks tomorrow! Where did the last 6+ months of my life go?? lol. My little boy is kicking up a storm as well. I was at the OB yesterday and she was trying to hear the heartbeat and she heard it for a second, then he kicked the machine and ran to the other side of my stomach..she chased him to the other side , heard the heart beat for another second..then you hear and feel him kick the machine again and run away..it was hilarious!

ugh i can't waaait to be 20 weeks. i'm dying to feel my baby :( at least i think my bump is getting easier to feel though still not remotely noticeable visually. my boobs on the other hand seemed to grow a size overnight! haha. its pretty cool. i reeeeaaaallly hope next week (20 weeks) i 'll feel or see some changes.

at least i know my little guy is growing and healthy. i've seen him move around. i'm scheduled to get ultrasounds once a month because they want to make sure he's growing properly on account of me having the sleeve. i'm fine with it. i looove seeing my little guy.

can you believe we're halfway through? thats what kills me though. lol. i'm like halfway through and still not feeling or seeing anything. waaaa. lol.

what do you eat or drink that makes him move around more?

Don't feel bad if you don't feel movement by next week. All women are different, but you will be feeling him very soon :)

I'm not going to be getting monthly u/s but I will be having a few more to check on my little guy's growth as well. I cannot believe we're already halfway through. Just a few months ago we were complaining about time dragging! LOL

As for what I eat/drink to get him moving - ANYTHING really! LOL This guy LOVES when mommy eats and lets me know he's happy a little while after I take a bite of anything. Last night he was having a party in my uterus and I have a sneaky suspicion that it was due to the diet Dr. Pepper I drank. I don't consume a whole lot of caffeine, but when I do it gives him a jolt! LOL

Can't wait til you start feeling your little man moving. It's really magical and I'm excited for you to experience that finally after all your struggles :)

aww thanks :) i can't wait either. :) he does some funny stuff in there. i've seen him in the ultrasound his new thing is pushing himself down so that his arms are stretched out over his head and then he puts his bu up at on the wall of the uterus. omg what a weirdo. haha ;) he's like his dad stretching and taking up space. so i know when i start to feel him i'll feel something cool bc of the way he moves in there lol.

i love how active your little guy is. sounds like so much fun! :) i can't wait! for me time is still dragging bc i'm not seeing or feeling anything. but soon i hope!!

Congrats on both having the surgery and on your new baby!!! I also had the RNY, it was 2 years ago in March of 2010. I had a lot of complications and had to go in for a second surgery to loosen the stitches becuase the doc made them too tight and nothing was going down into my pouch. .. but thank God everythign is ok and here I am over 100 pounds lighter and loving life. . .and now I'm pregnant with TWINS!!! I can't believe it. . .I know the docs say that you are not supposed to get prenant right away after having the surgery but me and my fiance have been trying for the past 2 years with no success . . . .until now X2. . .lol I'm only 6 weeks now and I just can't wait for these 9 months to hurry up and be over with. I wan't to hold my babies now!!!

Meli I'm like you..I'm getting u/s's monthly..I've had 6 so far...regular ones and then I have my 3D u/s this sunday and then back to my regular u/s on the 31st so I'll get to see my little guy twice in just over a week! love it! My monthly u/s are just to check that growth is still on track..which is all good so far and I don't mind seeing him every 30 days!! I'm sitting here at work getting punched and kicked to death..I can see my stomach out of the corner of my eye as I type this and it's literally moving..haha.
Don't worry if you don't feel anything on the DOT of 20 weeks...I think I was a bit more than 20 when I really started feeling things...now this little guy doesn't stop..I said to my hubby last night at 1am when I was awoken by kicks: "let's hope this baby gets off this schedule of being awake 24-7 or we are in for some trouble"..lol..but I love feeling him and just in the past week we've actually been able to play with him..we poke, he kicks, then runs away, we find him, poke again and it goes on and on..and just in the last week he's become really responsive to sound. I think his fave song is "payphone" by Maroon 5..lol...and voices..he knows our voices..it's really cool, you have a lot to look forward to! It will all happen soon!
