up date on hubby
Well seen surgeon on Thursday and what an emotional appt. He told us what the U.S. said and it was hightly suggestive of a malignat tumor. He gave him a head toe (literally toes) physical and found no other enlarged lymph tissue. I also asked about the labs he had done hoping there would be clues there (it does/doesn't pay to have medical knowledge when it comes to family), and good news was that all of that looked GREAT. He did a prostate exam (which hubby didn't like) and all was good there. He did find a mole that looked funny, so did a biopsy of that. He also did a needle biopsy of the mass in the groin. We go back 6/28 for the results....i hate the waiting game. Hopefully we will find that it is not a type of Lymphomia (which is what they are thinking). I did say to the Dr that his lyphocytes should be elevated if it were, and he agreed that usually you would see some elevation (he has none) so fingers crossed. I also mentioned if it could poss.be Cat Scratch Disease (which is viral), and again he agreed that it is very possible and has seen some very impressive cases of that. I know my neice in Arkansas had massive lymph enlargement in her neck and that is what they found. Again it came on very quickly and had no other signs (except ear pain due to the location), and it litterally looked like a giant tumor. Sigh.....Here's hoping and praying for good news on Thursday.
Oh we just got back from DC and we all had a blast. Took our minds off everything that is going on. The kiddos didn't like all the walking and of course i got frustrated with their moaning and groaning....ugh. I knew it was going to be that way for my son (5yrs old) who thinks he should be carried if he has to walk more than a mile......lol.....lazy bones. I think their favoritest part was the Metrorail......lol........and the 2-3 story high escalators that went straight up....gulp...my son was all now this is the best roller coaster ever.....LMAO
