13 weeks - starting to show!

I've got some mixed emotions about this. On one hand, I'm having a little bit of a hard time dealing with the fact that my belly is growing when I've spent the last year doing everything I can to shrink it. I'm getting by by continually reminding myself that this belly will go away quickly after this baby is born and that's a little comforting. On the other hand, though, I'm excited to be showing! I didn't look at all pregnant when I was 110 pounds heavier and pregnant with my first. I may not have that perfectly round baby bump, but I am certain now that I'll be undergoing noticeable physical changes this time around. No one will be able to claim (as my MIL did with my first) that they didn't believe I was pregnant because "I didn't look it." Anyway, here's a comparison picture of my belly in the same type clothing. I really popped this week :)

 love it. girl, i'm just at 12 weeks and i feel the same way. our bodies are very similar. although i just feel like my stomach is getting bigger, not particularly rounder. last night i looked in the mirror and freaked out bc it reminded me of before pictures. yikes!!  BUT i take comfort in the fact that my face hasn't changed too much. usually when i gain weight the double chin is the first to show. strangely enough my face, although fuller, isn't a total give away yet. also my back and ass don't seem any fatter,  my stomach just sticks out like this. altough yours sticks out further than mine at the moment. but i can't wait to pop out. did it seem to happen over night? my tummy has been steadily getting bigger and my boobs have too. may i ask how much you've gained so far? we're so close in  pregnancy and i have no idea what the norm is. so far i've gained about 8lbs in 12 weeks. don't know if thats normal or bad or what. i love having someone so close to my due date! :) do ppl already know you're pregnant? no one knows with me yet. but i will tell them this weekend. i know some of them are looking at me thinking, oh no she's gaining it back but they're smart enough not to say anything to me. lol.

LOL I'm terrible at keeping secrets, so I started announcing the day I found out at 3w6d! I even announced it on FB then, too. I made the announcement to my support group at our meeting this month, too... just in case I was showing before next months meeting (I'm glad I announced it when I did now!). I just didn't want anyone to start talking about me gaining the weight back or anything if they happened to notice my stomach getting bigger.

As for how much weight I've gained? 0.... I've actually lost a little more than 25 pounds since the first day of my last period. You have to remember, though, that I'm still early post-op (just over 7 mos now) and still in the active weight loss phase. It doesn't seem to matter how much I try to NOT lose, I keep losing... although this week I've seen a slower loss than many of the previous weeks.

And the popping out like this... Not quite sure when it happened, but it was definitely within this past week. I didn't look like this last week! LOL As bad as it is, this pic may also be showing a little bit of bloat, too. I don't look quite as preggo this morning, but definitely still popping out. This is my second pregnancy so I was expecting to pop out earlier than what I did last time, but not quite this early!

I'm loving having someone else here who's so close to my due date as well. :) I can't wait to see YOUR pics of YOUR bump ;)

 oh i'm horrible at keeping secrets, which is why keeping this secret was so excrutiatingly hard for me! but after having a miscarriage i couldn't go through that again. so i didn't want to tell ppl till i knew i was sure.

oh yeah you're definitely in that sweet spot of losing weight. good for you! it should come right off after childbirth :)

i know i can't wait. nothing showing yet. i don't think i'll show till 5 months probably. but we'll see. i will def share pics once i start showing.

I am with you, I am just past 8 weeks and my jeans are so tight, I am very frusterated by this. This is my 3rd child and was a bit of a surprise, we thought we were done having children 4th child total (I have a step-daughter). With my second child I recall by 8 weeks being in maternity pants, yup 8 weeks already heading that way however, I gained a substaintial amount of weight with my seond child and wasn't able to get the weight off (pre-surgery). I have many fears about gaining weight during this pregnancy, I have gained about 6lbs :(

My name is Crystal and I'm 6 months post op and 15 weeks pregnant. I think we are due around the same time haha. I saw my dr today and managed to gain 1 lb ! so far like you I keep dropping or maintaining since I found out I was pregnant I have lost 12 lbs. this is my second pregnancy hopefully I will pop out soon. I like your pics can't wait to take some soon!
