18 week ultrasound tomorrow!

Well I've been waiting for this day for a while, my 18 week ultrasound! I'll actually be just 1 day shy of 19 weeks and I pray that they will tell me the sex of the baby.

There are rumours that I won't be able to find out what I'm having due to these new laws that are trying to be passed in Canada in an effort to prevent abortions by cultures and religions that don't want to have girls.

Any other fellow Canadians out there go through the same problem lately? Apparently this all started happening earlier this year.

I swear I will throw a fit in that office if they can tell what I'm having but refuse to say!! LOL.

I have a 3D u/s booked for July that is done through a private company that I pay for so if worse comes to worst I will move up that date just to find out what I'm having as they advertise and promote gender determination.

AHH I CAN'T WAIT!!!

My anatomy scan is tomorrow as well. We already found out the sex (a boy!) at 16 weeks through an elective ultrasound. I have an anterior placenta and don't feel him move very often so I'm excited to see him and make sure he's ok. I'll be glad when I feel him more. Good luck tomorrow!

We are just a day apart! LOL!

I had my anatomy scan at 18 weeks and a couple of days and it was very easy to determine gender :)

 I don't doubt that they will be able to tell the gender..its that with new laws coming into place,they Won't tell me the gender.....

I live in Ontario, Canada and I didnt have a problem with that.  The only problem I had was baby would not uncross it's legs for the tech.  She had said if she had to guess it was 60-40% a girl.  I went  3 weeks later for the 3d and got it confirmed, it is a girl.  I am not aware of the law passing as of yet.  GOOD LUCK!!!

Good to know Sherry-Lynn! The law hasn't passed yet, but I was reading about it in an article in the Canadian Medical Journal. I have 3 friends that are pregnant right now, all are a bit ahead of me. 2 of the 3 were not told the gender even though the tech could tell...and 1 was told with no problems! I guess it'**** and miss right now.
My fingers are crossed!
