Thomas is here!!!!!

My son is here, born May 21st @ 9:55am weighing in @ 7lbs 8oz. It was a very rocky delivery but God showed up and showed out. I laboured for 2 days went in to L&D and was sent home twice and told I was not making any progress. I finally had to insist that I was in too much pain to go home I asked them to break my water and give me an epiural. The Anesthisiologist must not have known what he was doing because he had to redo the epidural 4 times. then after another 16 hours of labour, I was complete and ready to push. While pushing, my son got stuck, and they had to apply emidiate fundal pressure to get him out fast, which broke his clavicle. Oh and I forgot to say when they broke my water they told me it was not fluid but thick meconium, and that he had swallowed it and breathed it in. They whisked him off to the nicu to check for infection and help him breathe and supplemental oxygen and all that stuff. Ok so back to after the delivery, I started experiencing  severe spinal headaches for which I was rushed to the OR to do a blood patch which is yet another epidural where instead of injecting the numbing medication, they inject blood to clog up the hole that the spinal fluid is leaking out of. Well All this is the bad news but the most important thing was. No infection, he could breathe on his own, and he was discharged from the nicu to the nursery in time to come home with me and he is one hundred percent WELL thank God!!!!!!

 Sorry that you had to go through so much trauma, but you were definitely blessed with a beautiful baby!

Congrats! He's simply precious! So glad to hear all is well after the nightmarish delivery! Hope you and baby Thomas are recovering well. :)

Thanks I really appreciate you guys and he well wishes. Yes, we are doing great he is a wonderful little boy and he and his big brother are getting along really well for now anyway lol.

WOw!  You poor thing and your poor baby, what a time!!  How scary that must have been for you!!!  Thank God all is ok with both of you!  Love the pics, you have a beautiful family!!

Thanks, if not for the surgery none of this would have been possible and I thank God for allowing me to get this surgery and start the family that he promised me. I love all you ladies your well wishes your oppinions and advice are highly respected may God bless us all.

 oh my gosh, what a nightmare! you poor thing!!! thank god its over and that everyone came home safely. now you can put all that behind you and just enjoy your beautiful baby boy. what a lovely family. congrats!!
