10 months post op, pregnant!
No worries, mama. Lots of women have been there. And many even sooner post-op than you are (including me!) I found out at 5.5 months out that I was pregnant. It took me a while to get over being scared, and it certainly is more challenging than pregnancy before RNY b/c of the malabsorption and the restriction. Make sure to eat more often, get in enough protein, add healthy carbs into your diet, and get plenty of fluids. You'll also need to continue taking all of your bariatric vitamins and may be asked to add (or replace one of your multi's with) a prenatal and may be asked to take some other things like DHA, etc. If you haven't already, make an appointment with your OB to get started with prenatal care and make your surgeon a part of your care team if it is feasible. You may also want to talk to your NUT for some advice.
Lastly, take a deep breath, relax, and enjoy the next 7.5 months! Remember, you are not alone in this. This board is full of advice, love, and support. :) Here's wishing you a happy, healthy pregnancy :)
