26 weeks and spotting/bleeding

Hi Everyone,

Its been awhile since I have visited my family here.  There has been so much going on in my life; unfortunately most has been "bad".  Anyway,  the latest issue is I have had some bleeding and spotting.  Nothing heavy or bright red.  Pink/brownish, along with menstrual type cramps and lower back ache.  Dr.  monitored and checked and said all was OK.  This was almost 2 weeks ago.  Yesterday morning I woke up and saw a little blood in the toilet and when I wiped it was pink with streaks of brown. It lasted about an hour.  Then stopped.  This morning nothing until I had a bowel movement, then brown and slimy.  Called L&D and they said if it were bright red then they would be concerned and not to worry.

I guess my concern is that when I had my 18 week ultrasound the Dr. said I had a low lying placenta which I shouldn't be concerned about at this point since most of the time it moves up.  My appt to check on the position of the placenta is not for another 3 weeks.  I am fearful that the bleeding/spotting is a result of of.

Any advice?

If I am up on my feet too long or do TOO much in one day, I will have beige/pinky spotting as well.  My Doctor says everything is ok.  I have never been told if I have a low lying placenta or not.  As for DTD, DH is banned (poor guy) so I know it isn't from that, BUT I have had one of those, ahem, Dreams where you "O" in your sleep and I have had the same kind of spotting.  It is scary!!!  Especially everything I have been through to get here.

I feel the baby moving all the time and kicking about, but when she is quiet, I get out the doppler and ease my mind by hearing her HB.  My Doctor hasn't checked for anything other than her HB and movement, and of course routine u/s',s so I am trusting everythng is ok.  It is nerve wracking being pregnant at times!!!

On bed rest.

Time to leave this site.  Guess you can't expect to have people offer advice when you only ask and never give......

Was hoping to get some support.

Sorry to hear about the bedrest! Are you on it until the due date now?

Keep us posted when they check the placenta. Hang in there!  Maybe you and the little one can have some good snuggles while you're on bedrest! Good luck!

I am sorry that you are having stress right now in your life..and also worried about your pregnancy.  ((Hugs!))  I wonder if the slight bleeding could be that the placenta is moving up?  I have no idea...and no experience to base that on.  BUT try not to worry too much.  I am hoping that it's all totally normal and you will be back with an update after your next appt. to let us know that all is well.
I haven't been on this board since my mc in mid March.  I am still waiting and hoping for my cycle to start so we can try again.  =/
