Some docs don't like to have patients on met while pregnant, but some say it's fine. One of my lactation consultants even suggested I try to get a prescription for metformin JUST to try to increase my milk supply even though my diabetes is essentially gone. I ended up with too many issues to breastfeed and am now formula feeding (not what I'd planned/wanted, but gotta do what we gotta do to keep baby healthy!), but I would have hopped back on the met if low supply had been my only issue.
Welcome back Meli :)
Did you end up getting pregnant naturally or with your RE's help?
I dont really have any advice, I eat anything and everything I want and have lost about 15 pounds since I found out I was pregnant. Not that I'm complaining ;) I think its because I'm still overweight... technically obese even I think. But I totally get where your'e coming from on the weight loss too... I went from nearly 400 pounds to 220 and 220 was my "ultimate goal weight." No, I'm not THIN, but hot damn does it feel good to be here! My goal is to try to lose 20-30 pounds after the baby comes... We'll see! I just know i won't be able to keep eating like I am now. Pregnancy must have thrown my metabolism into overdrive big time.
Keep us posted on how things go. I'll be thinking about you.

thanks nikki. man i was really hoping for one of those pregnancies where i lose weight like everyone else. lol. i'm 183 at the moment. i think thats still obese. who knows. i don't know.
and actually this one was completelty on my own. just like the last one. no help from anyone. :) just the good old fashioned way. i guess its right when they say you know your body more than anyone else.
i'm still really early on. no realy symptoms other than cramps and breast tenderness and occassional food aversions. i keep waiting for morning sickness to hit me. hopefully in the next 2 week. i know i'll be miserable but i can't wait. at least i'll feel pregnant.

Thats great! You sound just like me early in pregnancy hahaha. I had the same symptoms as you... cramps, breast tenderness and food adversions. I was hoping and waiting for morning sickness to start so that I would "feel pregnant." I had super brief moments of it, but never what I would consider actual MS and it stressed me out so much! My RE told me several times its totally normal to not have MS and that I was lucky, but it was scary! Now seeing so many of my pregnant friends suffer through MS, I feel very lucky to not have had it. So try not to worry too much if you don't ever really have it. 40% of women don't. ;)
