"Morning" Sickness Officially Settled In!
Hi Ladies! I'm 6w1d today and I'm not so pleased to announce that morning sickness has officially settled in. I've felt off and on nausea for a couple of weeks now, but I'm now consistently ill every day. Blech!
It's much different than it was with my first pregnancy. I feel nauseous all day long, but its worse towards dinner time and until I go to bed. With my first pregnancy the nausea was also worse on an empty stomach so I would usually start to feel a little better after eating. Not so with this pregnancy.
The bad news is that the nausea is bad enough to make me not want to eat, drink, or take my vitamins. I am literally choking down everything I put in my mouth. I have been taking Zofran as needed, but recently it's not been making a whole lot of difference. I'm seeing my doctor today to talk about either more Zofran (since I'm almost out and have no refills) or another anti-nausea treatment.
I feel a little guilty for sometimes skipping meals and vitamin doses (though I don't skip the vits very often at all). I just hope this doesn't last too long. If I recall correctly I had it for about 6-7 weeks with my DD.
Any tips on combating the sickness (other than Zofran?)?

I tried all the natural "cures" for my morning sickness and NOTHING worked. It was bad. I finally broke down and took the zofran starting around 11 weeks. Wish I had started it sooner; it made such a difference. Hope you find something that works for you. Its no fun
i'm kind of excited to hear you got morning sickness at 6 weeks. i'm 5 weeks 2 days and i haven't felt much at all. i have breast tenderness and occasional cramps. a few days ago i woke up and almost threw up but didn't. but i was happy that i felt something. its my first pregnancy. well technically my 2nd but with the first one (in dec) i miscarried very very soon in. like 4 weeks in. and i'm so worried. i haven't told anyone i'm pregnant yet other than my husband. i've even been too afraid to utter it on here in fear that i'll jinx myself. but since we're so close with our pregnancies i wanted to respond to this one. i know i'll probably be miserable because nausea sucks however i cannot WAIT to get morning sickness. then at least i will really feel pregnant.
YAYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MELI I am so happy for you! What great news! I totally know what you are saying about being scared. I think I would feel the same way. My hubby and I are really really trying. I have like 6 days before I can test. UGH it's killing me.
But anywho with my 1st and only pregnancy that I had (which also resulted in mc) It seemed like BAM when 6 weeks came I was very nauseated. I don't really remember what gave me relief or if anything did. I hope you find some relief. It is so hard on our pouches to throw up. Atleast for me I get sore.(I have the band)
Best of luck
