No GD!!!! Yeah Buddy!
I'm super excited! I just got my 3rd Tri labs back. All of my vitamin levels are totally normal and no GD! I didn't do the syrupy glucose tolerance test cuz I'd be a hot dumping mess. So my OB had me take the Hemoblobin A1C. If the numbers looked a little high then she'd have me monitor my blood sugar levels a few times a day. However, my A1c came in reeeeeeally good! I'm not even close to the "risk of diabetes" levels.
I'm so happy! I was a little nervous cuz of family history of diabetes. I wasn't diabetic pre-op, but I was hypoglycemic. So the risk is definitely there for me. But I don't have it! I'm so excited!
OH... btw.. I found a new OB that I like. She's very thorough and nice. And she has had a WLS post-op pregger mommy before. So that makes me feel better too.
Have a great weekend everyone! And for those of you who celebrate Easter, Bunny it up big time!

Congrats!
I would caution others reading, though, that an A1C is not a very good indicator for GD. The A1C is an average of about 3 months, and GD can come on quite suddenly during pregnancy, so it's possible to have GD and still have a normal A1C since the A1C covers such a long period of time. In fact, it's even possible to have a normal A1C and have type 2 diabetes (pregnancy aside) because the A1C is an average, so if you're having both highs and lows, they can balance each other out over time in terms of A1C.

while technically yes it looks at the last 3 months, the test really focuses on the last 5 weeks. and EVERYONE is different. Everyone needs to work with their doctors and NOT take what they read on non-professional chat boards like this as the absolute gospel. If they do, then they are just plain stupid and need to go see another kind of doctor!
Sorry for the rant... I'm just REALLY done with people coming to this board for absolute medical advice when they really should be going to their own doctors.
I was very excited about my lab results and wanted to share that excitement with this community. If people are too naive to take my individual results and believe that they are their own results then they really should rethink things!
PEOPLE: No one on this board is a doctor! Go seek your own individual medical advice from a local doctor!
