Some common terms:

TTC – trying to conceive
BFP - big fat positive (positive pregnancy test)
BFN – big fat negative (negative pregnancy test)
CD – the day of your menstrual cycle
O – ovulation
DPO – days past ovulation
LP – luteal phase (time from ovulation to period)
AF – aunt flow ( your period)
PG – pregnant/pregnancy
MC - misscarriage
RE – reproductive endocrinologist
OPK – ovulation prediction kit
CL – coverline ( for those taking their temps to confirm ovulation)
Met – metformin or glucophage ( a diabetes medication sometimes taken to help hormone levels and ovulation)
BD – baby dancing ( having timed intercourse)
DTD – doing the deed
IUI – inter uterine insemination
IVF – in vitro fertilization
PCOS – polycystic ovarian syndrome
POAS – pee on a stick (taking a pregnancy test)
2WW – two week wait…time from ovulation until you can test for pg

 Hey all 
Just thought I would check in. We tried all last month with bbt and cm tracking. Did ovulation tests, nothing! So on march 31 AF came and we started clomid on April 4. We are going to try one round to see what happens. I start ovulation testing on April 11 again. Baby dust sent to all!!!

Hi, my name is Karma, and I would love to be a part of your group.  I am 17 months post-op from RNY, I currently weigh about 125 lbs and have lost around 135 lbs.  I am currently wearing a 4.  I actually have lost more weight that my goal and absolutely don't want to loose anymore.  One of my main goals leading to my RNY is being able to be at a healthy weight before TTC.  My husband and I have decided to TTC.  Have had one miscarriage before surgery, I was only about 4 weeks when I miscarried.  I have not had any other pregnancies.  I am nervous that because I have lost more weight than I wanted that I might not be able to conceive b/c I look and sometimes feel malnourished despite the fact that I am getting my protein, taking my vitamins, and my vitamin levels are normal.  Anybody else had similar concerns?  This is our first time actually TTC, as the first preganancy when we miscarried was not planned.  I am on my period now and excited for ovulation.  I am just looking for guidance and experiences of other people who are TTC after weight loss surgery.  Thanks!!!
