Some common terms:
TTC – trying to conceive
BFP - big fat positive (positive pregnancy test)
BFN – big fat negative (negative pregnancy test)
CD – the day of your menstrual cycle
O – ovulation
DPO – days past ovulation
LP – luteal phase (time from ovulation to period)
AF – aunt flow ( your period)
PG – pregnant/pregnancy
MC - misscarriage
RE – reproductive endocrinologist
OPK – ovulation prediction kit
CL – coverline ( for those taking their temps to confirm ovulation)
Met – metformin or glucophage ( a diabetes medication sometimes taken to help hormone levels and ovulation)
BD – baby dancing ( having timed intercourse)
DTD – doing the deed
IUI – inter uterine insemination
IVF – in vitro fertilization
PCOS – polycystic ovarian syndrome
POAS – pee on a stick (taking a pregnancy test)
2WW – two week wait…time from ovulation until you can test for pg

Lapband 8/2007. Revised to VSG 10/2010.... 170 pounds lost!
Well I was supposed to start on saturday and it hasn't came yet. I'm trying to not be excited of the possibility. I don't want to test yet because I don't want to go buy a test and be disappointed just in case I ovulated late. If nothing comes by wednesday then I will test but the suspense is killing me.

Got a BFP this morning! My heart is racing and I'm nervous even though I've been through this whole pregnancy thing before. I thought it would be less nerve wracking the second time around, but I guess not. I am excited, though. Will be talking to my PCP today as I have to take my daughter in to be seen and then I guess I need to get ahold of my surgeon's office as well!
This week is OPK and BD'ing this weekend.

New member here. Just had my 5 year surgiversery last month. Love my DS. My total weightloss has been about 145 lbs. I actually have tried to GAIN weight prior to conceiving this time, since I lost too much weight during my last pregnancy (I don't like how my body looks when I get below 135).
We just got the approval from my OB to start trying for our second pregnancy-- so this is our first month of TTC. I have a beautiful 2-year-old daughter and a 12-year-old stepson. Since this will be my second pregnancy post-DS, I'm hoping things will be slightly less anxiety inducing-- if that's even possible in pregnancy!
