BOY!!!!!! Malcolm McParland Siegrist. :) McParland (my maiden name) as his middle name.
I don't know why, but I am so surprised to have a boy! I guess I just really thought it would be a girl, even though for a long time I thought it was a boy. This is the first boy in my family :) Both of my parents, my sister, and my husband were present for the ultrasound, which was pretty neat. My mom was super excited, as they have been wanting a grandson.
My husband really wanted a girl... I'm pretty sure he will come around. It was just him, his brother, and dad growing up and for some reason he thinks girls are so much cooler/easier. Haha! So thats been a bit of a bummer on my parade today. But not too bad. I'm very happy :)
Malcolm measured 2 days ahead and everything looked great! I will have another ultrasound in 4 weeks when I am 22 weeks, because the tech couldn't get good enough images of his heart etc. because its a bit early for the level 2 ultrasound. Malcolm wouldn't really cooperate with some of the shots the tech wanted to get, including a profile pic. The only one we took home was a photo of his boy parts! haha. There was no mistaking those!
We are going out to dinner to celebrate with more family and friends in a little bit. A friend of ours is making a gender reveal cake. It should be pretty fun! Right after the ultrasound, my husband, sister and I went to the mall and made a build a bear for baby Malcolm :)
I'm so happy and love my baby boy so much!
Please don't say anything on Facebook yet if we are friends on there! Waiting until after tonight to say anything! Thanks :)
