 Hi Ladies,
I know this would be better off on the regular site but I know most of you so I am asking for your advice/opinion.

I recently had my two year check up with my surgeon and all my labs done.  After my visit I got a call that everything looked good except my Vitamin D (had problems with that since before surgery).  A couple weeks later I had my annual check up with my regular Dr, he reviewed the labs and said my Iron was low and asked if I was being treated for that.  I was not so he put me on iron pills that i take twice a day.

Here is my concern after getting a copy of my labs I am wondering if anything else is out of whack since the surgeon thought my iron was ok.  My Iron saturation is only 7%, iron level was 35 & direct TIBC was 479.  Here are the results for some of my other labs.
Vitamin B12       315
Vitamin D 25        26.5
WBC              5.2
RBC             5.02
Hemoglobin   14.1
HCT          42.1
MCV          83.8
MCH           28.1
MCHC     33.6
RDW        11.6
Platelet      275
MPV           10.8
Granulocyte %        51.3
Lymphocyte %     38.0
Monocyte %         5.8
Eosinophil %        2.4
Basophil %        2.5             ( they marked it at High)
Alkaline Phospate       90
BUN           10
ALT            19
AST           24
Glucose       59                (they marked it Low)
Sodium    144
Potassium    4.4
Chloride         105
Cholesterol         156
Direct HDL    59
Direct LDL    72
I usually go by what the Dr. says but now I am wondering if anything else is off.

Thanks for reading.
Nina

You really want your B12 higher. If you're not supplementing, I would start.

Yes, your glucose is low, even for fasting. Did you feel okay when you had your blood drawn? No shakiness, dizziness, lightheadedness, or anything?

I don't see results for vitamin A, calcium, PTH, ferritin, B1, B6, folate...

Are you taking Ca with D if so also sup. with vit d tablets 1-2000 IU a day.  Be sure you are not taking you Ca/D with you Iron or caffeine as they will cancel the Ca/D out.  Also take your Iron with your other Mutli Vits and add Vit C 500-1000mg as it will help the Iron absorb.  As the other poster stated you need to be supp. with B12.  I just had mine checked and it was slighlty higher and was on monthly inj that now are being done every 2wks.  You need a PTH drawn as well that lets you know how your Ca is being absorbed.  If it is elevated it means you are losing bone density as your body is robbing the Ca from your bones.  Ferritin level will also be helpful to let you know if you are getting enough protien.  The Iron sat, level, and TIBC just lets you know your anemic therefore needing the supp.  Your Glucose is low at that time I myself would have been shakey.  If you didnt feel that way then it shows your body is use to running in the low.  If you have freq bouts of feeling shakey weak or jittery inside that would be the likely cause.  To fix that ensure you are eating protein rich food balanced with complex carbs.  Hope that i was of some assistance I know how hard it is to get those labs back up in the norms, but it will happen just give it time and you have to be proactive.
