Well I have a long history and havent been on here for a while. So, I'm going to briefly tell you my history. I had RNY in September 2004, got pregnant in November 2004 and delivered a beautiful baby girl in August 2005. Of course, she was our blessing but totally unexpected. I have an awsome PCP and he took care of me along with my OB since I was kind of kicked out of the Gastric Bypass physicians office. At that point, they couldnt care for me. I never really got to learn what was hte proper way of eating because while pregnant, I had to eat everything and anything I could to get enough calories. I lost 105 lbs through my pregnancy, but my princess gained all she needed. She was born 8 lbs 7 oz.
Over the years, Ive been up and down 20 to 40 lbs. It sucks major. This pregnancy was planned but unfortunately, I was not at the ideal weight. Now I am scared of gaining all my weight back and needing surgery again. So far, I am 12 weeks and havent gained anything. But I am already showing and I am freaking out. Any advice?

I've heard you tend to show earlier with subsequent pregnancies, so that's normal and not freakout worthy :P My weight had been stable prior to becoming pregnant, yet I lost an additional 12 pounds during my first trimester by just eating low in carbs, low in processed junk, and focusing on protein and fat (you know, all the things I should do even when not pregnant, but pregnancy gave me the motivation to buckle down). Now I'm 37 weeks as of today, and I'm about 25 pounds above my pre-pregnancy weight. That's about an average amount of weight gain during pregnancy, so I'm not too worried about it. I think we overthink and over-worry ourselves with these things sometimes - just do what you know you should and try to enjoy your pregnancy :)
