Almost there!
OK.... final countdown has begun. 2 weeks as of tomorrow until my due date. Having contractions but still irregular although becoming more intense and somewhat more frequent!! Hooray for discomfort!
Anyway, what I wanted to ask it, How did your labor start? How did you know it was 'that time'. I love to hear these stories!
Thanks for any input ladies!
Best to all!

Unfortunately for me both my labors started with the breaking of my water during th middle of the night. Right after i would get to sleep......ugh. Then had to go to hospital and wait for my actual labor to start and getting hooked up to pit. Very miserable and the second ended in c-section anyways after 18hr of labor on the pit and 2hrs of pushing. Hoping for a vbac this round and at a different hospital that actually offers epidurals so will be more comfortable....fingers crossed. So i guess you decided for a vbac this round?? Good luck can't believe it's time already!!!
Does this mean you've decided on the VBAC? If so I hope that it goes great and is as "easy" and uneventful as mine was! Both of my labors started with about two days of decently strong contractions which would vary in both their intensity and regularity. Eventually something would change and they'd suddenly become the unmistakable contractions of "this is it". Good luck! I'll be praying that everything goes well and that you get the birth that you're hoping for!
Wow, that went fast! With my 1st 2 pregnancies pre-op, my water broke with both kids. With my last 2 pregnancies post-op, my labor started with contractions. I knew with my 3rd child I was getting close after I weeded all afternoon and felt and seen changes down there....sure enough went into labor early the next day. Last baby my contractions started and were regular after I left my doctor appt and she stipped my membranes. You just know when it time. Can't wait to hear your birth story!
I LOVE that you posted because that means I am getting close too! Yay! I was induced with Lorelai so never "went" into labor. Kinda hoping it happens this time, but they are already talking about scheduling me for a c-section because Genevieve is breech.
Good luck! Can't wait to hear how it goes for you!

Mommy to 2 of the most beauiful little girls in the whole universe and still in love with my hubby of 8 years. LIFE IS GOOD!
The time does fly for sure! Yes, I've opted for a VBAC and am hoping and praying I'm successful!! If not, it's ok, at least I tried. I have a check on Monday. Last visit est. weight was 3500 grams which puts us on track for around a 9 lb. baby. My son was 9 pounds at 38 weeks. So, we'll see what they have to say Monday. I'm curious what they'll do with me if I were to go ovetime. I don't know what the usual protocol is here for women expecting big babies that want a VBAC... kind of hoping they'd try to induce.
Have been using all sorts of homeopathic things in combination with accupuncture from a mid wife to 'get my body' ready. Suppossed to help soften the cervix and increase contraction... seems to be working, especially the evening of the accupuncture!!
Will let you know how we progress!
With my daughter I just 'didn't feel well'about 10 in the morning, had intermittent contractions all day and by 11 at night went to hospital with harder contractions. (she'd stripped my membranes about 24 hours before this began). Went into hard labor about 2 hours after, used a 'walking' epidural (couldn't feel contraction but could feel EVERYTHING else, which was ok) and delivered her at 11 the next morning. No pit or anything.... am hoping for something similar!!

Its so funny you posted a question. I haven't been on here in months and thought about you: you are the reason I was scanning the board!!!! I had very mild cramping for a couple of hrs before I really realized it was labor. Nothing major for me....I'm so glad you are almost done!! Praying for a safe and happy delivery!
